Miss Juneteenth America Clotilda appearance 2025 was more than an event — it was a moment of remembrance, reverence, and rising pride. On July 3, 2025, Junior Miss Juneteenth America, Savannah Jones and Teen Miss Juneteenth America, Victoria Howell stepped into history during the 165th Anniversary of the Clotilda at the Africatown Heritage House in Mobile, Alabama.
As they walked through the space, crowned in dignity and purpose, something deeper than ceremony unfolded — a quiet awakening to the power of their roots.
Walking Through History, Crowned With Purpose
Victoria, our Teen Miss Juneteenth America 2025, described the experience as “incredibly powerful.” She didn’t just learn about history — she felt it in her bones. Standing in front of artifacts and watching recorded stories from the descendants of Clotilda survivors, she realized these weren’t distant stories from textbooks. “These were my people,” she reflected. “Their strength wasn’t just survival — it shaped entire communities.”
This clarity — this pride — is exactly what the Miss Juneteenth America Scholarship Pageantry Program is designed to cultivate. Confidence that runs deeper than the stage. Purpose that starts in the heart and grows in historic places like Africatown.

Legacy in Action
For Savannah, Junior Miss Juneteenth America 2025, the moment was inspiring and eye-opening. “It helped me learn more about my history,” she shared. Listening to guests speak about their connections to the Heritage House museum reminded her that our history isn’t far away — it’s here, living in the stories of those who continue to preserve it.
She carried her crown not just with elegance, but with “respect and dignity to my ancestors and their struggle.” Her presence that day, like Victoria’s, wasn’t about being celebrated — it was about honoring something bigger.
More Than a Visit — A Mission
What makes the Miss Juneteenth America Clotilda appearance 2025 so powerful is how it reflects the soul of our program. This isn’t just about crowns or stage lights. It’s about awakening legacies. It’s about our young ladies walking through doors held open by history and saying, “I see you — and I’ll carry you forward.”
Victoria described the experience in one word: “Awakened.” Savannah chose “Thankful.” Both carried home more than memories — they carried a mission.

The Torch Forward
When asked what they would say to another young girl about the importance of honoring our roots, both queens gave answers that speak to the heart of our purpose:
“Your roots are your superpower.”
“Our history makes us who we are.”
“We are worthy of every dream our ancestors didn’t get to see.”
As a program, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
