The Maynard 4 Foundation is proud to announce Ms. Phenicia West as a Workshop Presenter for the 2024 Miss Juneteenth America Scholarship Pageantry Program!
Phenicia West is not your average, run-of-the-mill massage therapist. With over fifteen years of experience in the industry, she has dedicated herself to becoming a staple of the Daphne, Alabama & the greater Gulf Coast.
Ms. West started furthering her education with Fortis, which gave her the work ethic and dedication she would need later. She gained experience at some of the most well-known spas such as The Battle House Spa, NouVeau Salon and Spa, and Fusion Aveda Salon and Spa.
As a former basketball player & athlete, Phenicia know the importance of physical activity and have maintained an active lifestyle since. This eventually led her to obtain a certificate in Achievement in Synergetic Myofascial Therapy and Functional Movements for athletes and physically active people.
Her extensive training has allowed her to work with many different groups; from high school and professional college athletes to NFL players and MMA fighters. The journey has allowed Ms. West to harness her skills and share them with the world.
Through massage therapy, Ms. West has the pleasure of working with people of all ages and backgrounds. She truly understand the importance of providing quality services and tailoring the experience to fit every client. Her dedication and care that she have for her clients has earned her the notable “Spirit to Serve Award” a whopping eight times for excellence and guest satisfaction.
Phenicia have continued to further her skill set and gain the experiences necessary to make the MeTime Experience like no other that you have experienced. In September 2023, she completed her Stretch Therapy Practitioner Certification. She was the only AL massage therapist to be a recovery therapist for the 2023 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
Along with an overwhelming list of achievements, Ms. West is a strong believer in giving back and practicing what she preach in every way she can. Volunteer service, including but not limited to the following events: Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day South Alabama, Relay for Life of North Baldwin County, and Midnight Relay for Life of the Eastern Shore.
Phenicia is also active in spreading awareness about self-care in her local community such as: speaking at the Parkinson’s Support Group at SAAD Healthcare or the Alabama Healing Arts about entrepreneurship and massage therapy.
