Judge Adams is a 1989 graduate of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in History from Stillman College in 1993 and received her Juris Doctor from Miles Law School in 1996. Judge Adams continues her legal education as an Alumni of the National Judicial College.
Her legal career began as a Judicial Law Clerk to the late Honorable Robert G. Kendall and Judge James C. Wood, respectively, of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. She went on to join the Atchison Firm, P.C. as Associate Attorney from 2004 to 2007. Judge Adams continued her practice of law as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Mobile, City Attorney and Prosecutor for the City of Prichard, and Of Counsel with The Cochran Firm (Mobile Office).
In 2014, Judge Adams was appointed by Mayor William S. Stimpson as Acting Judge for Mobile Municipal Court. She served in this capacity until her appointment by the Mobile City Council as a full-time Municipal Court Judge in 2015. On September 30, 2022, Judge Adams was appointed by Mayor Stimpson as Presiding Judge of Mobile Municipal Court.
Judge Adams is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Mobile Bar Association, Women Lawyers Division of the Mobile Bar Association, Vernon Z. Crawford Bay Area Bar Association, Mobile County Board of Human Resources, Alabama Association of Human Resources Boards (District II Representative), Vice-President of the Alabama Municipal Judges Association, Paul W. Brock Inn of Court, National Association of Drug Court Professionals, Lawyer in Every Classroom Task Force, Life Member of the National Alumni Association of Stillman College and Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She is married to Patrick Adams, and they have a daughter, Ryleigh Simonne and English Bulldog, Titus.
