The Maynard 4 Foundation is proud to announce, Ms. Chandler Holt, 95th Miss Tennessee State University Elect, as the Scholarship Brunch Mistress of Ceremony for the 2024 Miss Juneteenth America Scholarship Pageantry Program!
Greetings, I am Chandler Holt, a Senior Health Science major with a concentration in
Physical Sciences. I currently reside in Nashville, Tennessee where I attend Tennessee State
University and serve as the 95th Miss Tennessee State University, but Birmingham, Alabama
will always be my one and only home! I aspire to become a pediatric pulmonologist, hoping to
treat the youth with love while ensuring their medical needs are met. My academic journey thus
far has been marked by notable achievements and unwavering dedication. As a recipient of the
Presidential scholarship at Tennessee State University, I have maintained an exceptional
academic record, earning the distinction of a Dean’s List Scholar with a commendable 3.4 GPA.
This commitment to excellence is not newfound but has been ingrained in me since my
formative years of graduating as the top 10 percent of my high school class.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have been privileged to hold many other leadership
positions within TSU. These include distinguished roles such as Miss Pre-Alumni Council, Miss
Legacy, Women of Empowerment’s Campus Outreach Co-Chair, and the TSU Honors College
Co-Event Coordinator. Furthermore, I have actively participated in organizations such as the
Alpha Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Leadership TSU Cohort 8, the Dr. Levi
Watkins Society, the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, and have served as a TSU
representative for the Meharry Student Health Ambassadors and the Harvard Generational
African American Students Association College Prep Seminar.
Beyond the confines of academia, my commitment to community service remains
unwavering. In collaboration with other members, I co-founded the HOLTS Foundation LLC,
also known as Helping Others Live Through Service, in 2017, a non-profit organization
dedicated to fostering a culture of compassion and service. As well as creating a program named
Prospering Pathways, endeavored to illuminate brighter futures for inner-city Birmingham students, providing them with invaluable guidance and support in their journey towards higher
education.
In all my endeavors, I am guided by faith and a steadfast belief in God’s plan. The verse
from Romans 8:28, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for
good, for those who are called according to His purpose,” serves as a guiding principle in my
life. As I continue to tread this path of service and academic pursuit, I remain committed to
upholding the values of excellence, compassion, and integrity that define both myself and our
community.
With deepest respect and admiration,
Chandler Holt
