The Maynard 4 Foundation is proud to announce Mrs. Katryna Kinn as the Mistress of Ceremony of the 2024 Miss Juneteenth America Scholarship Pageantry Program!
Empowering, Inspiring and Motivating youth is Katryna Kinn’s passion and life purpose. Kinn is an educator, community leader and an advocate for youth. As a member of the National Program Planning & Development Committee of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Kinn assists in developing and implementing national mentoring curriculum and positive self-awareness programs for middle and high school youth. Kinn also mentors youth and develops instructional programming in her role as an Educational Specialist with the 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile.
Kinn is a retired school principal with 30 years of service in public education. She has held other educational roles including teacher, school counselor and assistant principal. She is the recipient of the 2022 Ella Bell Outstanding Educator Visionary Award.
Kinn finds enjoyment in the spoken and written word. She is a motivational speaker and an announcer. She is an educational consultant through her consulting firm, Elevate Consulting and Communications, LLC. Kinn is a former news reporter for WZHT-105, WKRG and the Mobile Press Register. Kinn is currently a professional learning specialist for the Alabama State Department of Education where she finds fulfillment in facilitating valuable trainings on effective teaching and learning practices.
