Welcoming Miley Jones to the Miss Juneteenth America Class of 2026

Miley Jones, Junior Miss Juneteenth America Class of 2026 participant, brings curiosity, leadership, and a heart for service to the Miss Juneteenth America Scholarship Pageantry Program.

As a young leader from Mobile, Alabama, she represents the next generation carrying Juneteenth as American history forward through education, purpose, and perseverance.

Miley joins this year’s class with a meaningful connection to the program’s legacy. She is the sister of Savannah Jones, the 2025 Junior Miss Juneteenth America Crowned Queen, continuing a family tradition of leadership, scholarship, and service within the Miss Juneteenth America community.

An 8th grade student at Denton Magnet School, Miley demonstrates enthusiasm for learning, a passion for leadership, and a strong commitment to community engagement — qualities that reflect the mission of the Miss Juneteenth America experience.

Academic Engagement and Curiosity

Miley participates in several academic organizations that encourage exploration across science, technology, history, and leadership.

Her school activities include:

  • National Junior Honor Society
  • ACES Program
  • Robotics
  • Christian Club
  • Cheer

As part of the Miss Juneteenth America experience, each participant proudly represents her Dream HBCU, celebrating the powerful connection between education, heritage, and leadership.

Miley’s Dream HBCU is Howard University in Washington, D.C., a historic institution known for preparing leaders across fields such as medicine, law, education, and public service.

Howard University has a long tradition of preparing leaders who shape national conversations in medicine, law, public service, and the arts.

At the Scholarship & Legacy Banquet in Mobile, Alabama, Dream HBCUs are honored alongside participants as they celebrate educational aspirations and future opportunities.

Guided by Faith and Perseverance

Miley draws inspiration from a quote that reminds her to remain grounded during life’s challenges:

“When life gets too heavy to stand, kneel.”

This message encourages her to rely on faith, humility, and resilience as she continues to pursue her goals and dreams.

A Future in Medicine

Looking ahead, Miley hopes to become a neurosurgeon, dedicating her career to advancing neurological research and improving lives through specialized medical care.

Scholarship funds earned through the Miss Juneteenth America Scholarship Pageantry Program will support her academic enrichment and educational development, helping her continue preparing for a future in medicine.

Supporting Families Through Advocacy

Miley’s nonprofit organization of choice is Aubreigh’s Army Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting children and families facing serious health challenges while advocating for awareness and resources.

Through this connection, Miley hopes to contribute to efforts that uplift families and strengthen communities.

In June 2026, Miley will join fellow participants from across the nation in Mobile, Alabama, where they will take part in a week of leadership development, cultural heritage experiences, and scholarship opportunities.

As the sister of Savannah Jones, the 2025 Junior Miss Juneteenth America Crowned Queen, Miley continues a meaningful family legacy within the program — stepping forward to write her own chapter in this living story of American history.
