Q: Why do you want to be crowned Junior Miss Juneteenth America or Teen Miss Juneteenth America?

A: I want to be crowned Junior Miss Juneteenth America because I want to show my peers and myself that I am not just a background character. I what to show my strength, independence, and confidence.I want to show that you don’t have to have long flowing hair and perfect skin to make achievements. I want to teach others to love themselves and not think they are less than others.

Q: How would you serve as a role model as the crowned Junior Miss Juneteenth America or Teen Miss Juneteenth America?

A: I would serve as a role model to other girls in my community. I would teach them to love themselves. They would learn determination, independence, compassion, and to have fun. They would look up to me because I am someone who has made a great achievement and I look like them instead of a influencer on social media.

Q: What is the key to success?

A: The key to success is a mix of confidence and determination. I think this because you must be confident in your work and determined enough to do it. For an musician must be confident in their work and determined enough to plan and get transportation, advertise, and get tickets designed, etc.

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?

A: My proudest accomplishment is winning the class Spelling Bee. After the class Spelling Bee I went to the school Spelling Bee. I didn’t win the school Spelling Bee but I had fun. Having fun made it my proudest accomplishment. In my opinion fun is what makes an accomplishment an accomplishment.

Q: What charity did you select and why?

A: I chose The Art of Autism foundation. I chose this foundation because I believe people with autism would be able to make better art because they think differently. However they don’t have the resources or recognition the need to make art or get it recognized. I also chose this foundation because I enjoy art and would like to see art by autistic creators.

Q: How do you plan to use your scholarship?

A: I plan to use my money on school trips, supplies, school clothing, and college. I also plan to go to Baldwin prep. I also plan to get a new instrument. I will also use it to pay school fees such as my band fee.
